SQUID LID is a Dark Electro spectacle for the everyday explorer. This deep sea experience takes audiences (lovingly called Tentacles) on an eerie journey through the strange and unusual world that is Squid Lid.
SQUID LID began in 2009 as an underground rave duo in Toronto, featuring Jonah K and Zirco Fisher. Deep bass beats with whimsical circus melodies was their sound while performing in signature glowing creature masks.
Squid Lid has FIVE official albums released (Steam Powered Submarine ‘09, Crypto Zoo ‘12, Tackle Box ‘16, Escape To Liquidrome ‘17 and Worn Ritual ‘22. A four part EP collection of remixes entitled BREACH by the Brooklyn producer Warner Reshife is expected to be completed ‘26/’27.
Squid Lid has made appearances at SXSW (Austin TX), NXNE (Toronto), Astral Harvest Festival (AB), Eclipse Festival (QC), Fan Expo (Toronto), has toured across Canada, the US, & explored Berlin.
After the inspiring 5 month engagement in Berlin Squid Lid has most recently undergone a new project direction, focusing it’s efforts on the production of three annual costume parties in Toronto called The KRAMPUS BALL - MERMAID BALL - SKELEDANCE
Currently, the Squid Lid project is evolving into a conceptual housing unit for parties, decor, and immersive art & music.
